What is the Perfect Body?

I always wanted the perfect body. What is the perfect body? Who actually gets to decide that? Just because someone is “skinny” does not mean they are healthy. The same for if someone is overweight, they might be very healthy. My point is being healthy is different for every person. Most people judge healthy by the way you look or that number on the scale but we need to change our way of thinking.

Two years ago I worked my butt off to lose 70 pounds and I still don’t have the perfect body. Why? Probably because I had kids and 2 c-sections. I don’t think my stomach will ever be flat again. That is something I have to learn to be alright with. We each only have one body and we have to take care of it no matter what it looks like.

Your body is amazing. You built another human being with your body. When you sit back and think about it that is astonishing. Our bodies go through so much so don’t hate on it. Do what makes you feel healthy and beautiful. That is different for each person so find what works for you.

I think being healthy is how you feel. I feel healthy when I feel strong and energized. I know when I workout and eat right I feel good about myself. But when I get junk food all day and just sit around I don’t feel good. Do what makes you feel good. If working out for 10 minutes a day makes you feel like a million bucks then do it. You don’t have to work out for an hour.

We are each made up differently and people get different results from doing the same thing. What works for one person doesn’t always work for someone else. If it doesn’t feel right to you then it’s not going to work. If you want to get healthy then try a few different exercises and foods till you find what works for you. It’s about balance. Being healthy doesn’t mean that you can’t have a cookie or piece of cake. It means not eating the whole cake and just finding the balance with your foods and workouts. Once you find something that makes you feel healthy you will feel happier too.

You may never get the “perfect body” but you will have the body that is perfect for you so just take care of it the best you can.
