One of the hardest things to do is to learn to love yourself. With my need to be perfect all the time I never felt I was good enough. I always compared myself to other people who I thought were getting it right. I never took time for me because I felt I needed to keep going to keep up with all the other “perfect” moms out there.
From a young age we always hear the women in our lives say they need to lose a few pounds or go on a diet. Why are women so obsessed with a number on the scale? Your worth should not be determined by a number. It should be determined by how you feel.
I always wanted the perfect body. What is the perfect body? Who actually gets to decide that? Just because someone is “skinny” does not mean they are healthy. The same for if someone is overweight, they might be very healthy. My point is being healthy is different for every person. Most people judge healthy by the way you look or that number on the scale but we need to change our way of thinking.
