Feeling like I have my life together

Most days I try my best to have it together and most days I fail. Once in a while I have an amazing day and figured out it’s when these three things align. I notice that I’m a happier person and I have more patience. We live in the real world though so it’s hard to get these three things to align all the time. I’m working on it and that’s all that I can do. I know I don’t have to do all three perfectly but as long as I can get them done it usually helps me get through the day.

The first thing is my health.

I get a high when I work out. It gives me more energy and feel good about myself. I feel completely different on the days I don’t get a workout in. I’m sluggish and just tired. Eating right also makes me feel good. The days I just eat whatever I want I feel bloated and I start thinking negative things. When I eat right for a majority of days during the week I don’t feel bad when I do treat myself. I know I gave my body what it needed throughout the week and this one treat isn’t going to ruin that.

The second thing is a less clutter.

I know when my house is a mess I am one unhappy mama. I like to do a quick pick up before bed to make sure that when I come downstairs in the morning that it’s clean. This starts my day off right. My kids each have chores after dinner too. So I’m not the only one trying to clean the house and keep it in order. The less clutter you have the less time you will spend picking it up and the more time you will have to spend with your family. I can’t say that my kids bedrooms are clean but that’s their space and I can close the door so I don’t see it. Clutter is not only the physical stuff that you can see, it’s also all the ideas and to do lists that you have running through your head. I like to get all that stuff out and onto paper so I don’t have to remember so many things. Planning my days out the night before helps me too. The third thing is getting enough sleep.

Now I know that not everyone can get all the sleep you need. Maybe you have an infant at home or a kid who still doesn’t sleep through the night. Maybe you work a night job or you just can’t seem to stay asleep.  If you really have a lot of trouble sleeping I always suggest seeing a physician to make sure no other health problems are going on.Sometimes when you get the first two tips in order that maybe sleep might come a little easier to you. I know when I workout, eat right and my house and mind are decluttered I sleep so much better than if those things don’t happen.

The three things that make me feel like I have my life together

I love this. Putting yourself out there is hard, but it’s what we need to really show ourselves we can succeed. That is one thing I’ve struggled with until recently. I also struggle with the follow through and keeping my thoughts organized. It wasn’t until I started keeping a bullet journal that I was able to stay somewhat organized. Then I launched my blog and all that went by the wayside. It was only last week that I picked my bullet journal back up and started using it again. Here’s to hoping I can nail down my struggles to make myself better.

Thank you so much! Putting yourself out there is definitely hard but I’m so glad I took the leap. I tried bullet Journaling for a little bit but my handwriting isn’t very neat so I went back to a planner. Good luck on your blog and getting more organized!

This post is like you have read my mind. I especially need sleep to function well but I really understand what you say about clutter. If I am sitting down to write and there are dishes or laundry, I find it so hard to concentrate. Likewise with the clutter in my mind – I make lists in my journal every day, lol. Great post!

Thank you Jackie! I know what you mean about not being able to get anything done when you know there are household chores to do. But like you said mind clutter is just as bad. I keep a notepad by my bed to get everything out before I go to sleep. It helps me sleep so much better.
