Easter Self Care

Just because it’s a holiday doesn’t mean that we should skip taking care of ourselves. We are so busy trying to make the holiday fun for others that we forget ourselves. You are allowed to have fun too. There are lots of ways to fit self-care into Easter and make the holiday enjoyable for you.

Make yourself an Easter basket

Make a basket full of things that you love. It can be your favorite perfume, candy or bubble bath. Put a book that you’ve wanted to read in there. Just because you are an adult doesn’t mean you can’t have an Easter basket.

Take a bath

Usually after the kids tear into their Easter baskets the morning slows down a little. Take this time to slip away and enjoy a nice relaxing bath. Just relax and let the bubbles take away your stress. If you don’t have time in the morning then do this after Easter dinner.

Hide some eggs for you

After the kids have found their eyes then hide some adult eggs. You can put your favorite things in them and have an Easter egg hunt. Get the some other adults to join you too. Having a little fun is part of self-care too.

Enjoy time with family

Strengthening your relationships will always make you feel good. Really connect with them today and be in the moment. Listen without needing to respond. Just be there for them.

Do one thing that makes you happy

It doesn’t matter what it is, just do something today that makes you happy. It could be working on a hobby, reading a book or meditating. Just do one thing today that makes you feel calm and relaxed.
